An industry leader in cutting-edge technology and infrastructure solutions is seeking a Director of Cybersecurity Operations to join the team.
Who You Are
- You have extensive experience leading cybersecurity operations, incident response, or cyber defense programs
- Strong knowledge of SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and modern security monitoring technologies
- Experienced managing security programs across complex enterprise, cloud, and operational environments
- Familiar with regulatory and security frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and SOX
- Proven ability to lead high-impact incidents and coordinate cross-functional response efforts
- Skilled at managing third-party security providers and driving operational accountability
- CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or similar certifications preferred
What You’ll Do
- Build and lead the organization’s cybersecurity operations function, including monitoring, detection, and incident response capabilities
- Oversee security visibility across enterprise, cloud, and operational technology environments
- Develop and enhance incident response processes, readiness programs, and operational procedures
- Partner with engineering teams to strengthen detection capabilities and improve security effectiveness
- Lead vulnerability management efforts and drive remediation priorities based on risk
- Manage external security partners and ensure service quality, performance, and resilience
- Provide executive-level reporting on security posture, risks, and operational performance
What Success Looks Like
- Security incidents are identified, contained, and resolved efficiently
- Detection and response capabilities mature and scale with the organization
- Vulnerabilities are prioritized and remediated effectively based on business risk
- Leadership has clear visibility into security posture and operational performance
Salary Range: $200,000 – 250,000 annually, based on experience
Location: New York, NY – Fully on site
