Our client is seeking to bring on multiple Family Case Manager Supervisors to serve families seeking asylum across New York City. The right candidate is Bilingual in English/Spanish, has a bachelor's degree in social services, is experienced in managing a small team, and is well-versed in handling social work cases in a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed manner.

Job Details

  • Perform intakes, registrations, and assessments with utmost care and compassion
  • Manage cases in English and Spanish
  • Provide services and information in a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed manner
  • Refer clients to community programs, medical services, schools, immigration services, and other organizations
  • Set up translation services and coordinate interpreters
  • Manage a team of four
  • Pay Rate: $37 per hour
  • Time Commitment: 3-4 days per week, 12 hour shifts

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Services
  • 2+ years’ experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Must have case management experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Deep understanding of trauma and experience delivering trauma-informed services
  • Experienced in managing a team
  • Knowledge of immigration law and child welfare requirements
  • Must have excellent communication and documentation skills
