Description
A prominent national real estate development firm is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead a premier portfolio of luxury and mixed-income residential communities across the Midwest. This executive leadership role offers the opportunity to drive portfolio performance, develop high-performing teams, and shape the resident experience across some of the region's most prominent multifamily assets.
Who You Are
- You have 10+ years of progressive property management experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree required; CPM, ARM, or MBA preferred
- Proven success leading multi-property, multi-market residential portfolios with full P&L responsibility
- Strong expertise in luxury multifamily operations, financial management, leasing strategy, and asset performance
- Deep knowledge of Fair Housing, EEO, and residential property regulations
- Experienced building and developing high-performing leadership teams
- Proficient with Yardi, RealPage, or similar property management systems
What You'll Do
- Lead operational strategy and financial performance for a Midwest multifamily portfolio, driving NOI growth and occupancy
- Oversee Regional Managers and General Managers while fostering leadership development and operational excellence
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, revenue management, and portfolio reporting
- Partner with leasing, marketing, development, and asset management teams to optimize property performance
- Champion exceptional resident experiences through consistent service standards and brand execution
- Oversee maintenance operations, capital projects, regulatory compliance, risk management, and vendor performance
- Support acquisitions, new developments, lease-ups, and other strategic portfolio initiatives

Salary Range: $200,000 – 250,000 annually, based on experience
Location: Chicago, IL – Fully on site, with regular travel throughout the Midwest
