Who You Are
- Someone with hands‑on experience supporting litigation teams and managing court‑related workflows
- Comfortable navigating New York and federal procedural rules with confidence
- A detail‑focused professional who thrives when deadlines are tight and priorities shift
- Skilled at communicating clearly with attorneys, staff, and external partners
- Proficient with tools such as Compulaw, Microsoft Office, and other docketing or research platforms
- Organized, responsive, and able to stay composed when handling multiple time‑sensitive tasks
- Open to a hybrid schedule and available for late‑day or after‑hours filings when needed
What You’ll Do
- Maintain centralized tracking systems for case deadlines, court appearances, and litigation calendars
- Review incoming court activity and identify key dates that must be added to firmwide calendars
- Monitor state and federal dockets, especially New York courts, using platforms such as CourtAlert, PACER, and related tools
- Assist with preparing and reviewing filings to ensure they meet court formatting and procedural requirements
- Submit electronic filings in state and federal courts, including after standard business hours when required
- Coordinate with vendors for service of process and document retrieval
- Support attorneys with admissions, filing logistics, and procedural questions
- Help onboard new matters into docketing systems and maintain accurate records across active cases
What Success Looks Like
- Deadlines, reminders, and court dates are consistently captured and communicated to case teams
- Filings are submitted accurately, on time, and in compliance with court rules
- Attorneys and staff feel supported and informed throughout the lifecycle of each matter
- Docketing systems remain organized, current, and reliable for all users
- You demonstrate strong judgment, reliability, and the ability to anticipate what case teams need
- You contribute to a collaborative, inclusive environment while representing one of the nation’s leading law firms
Pay Rate Range: $39-47 per hour, based on experience
Location: New York, NY – Hybrid
