Our client is a well-known and modern educational institution in NYC. They are seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to support the Academic Advisement Center team for approximately 3 months. The position is fully on site in Midtown Manhattan.
Who You Are
- Administrative professional with 3+ years of experience, ideally within education or a similar student-facing environment
- Friendly, dependable, punctual, and proactive
- Tech savvy and quick to pick up new systems and processes
What You’ll Do
- Open the office promptly each morning and ensure readiness for daily operations
- Serve as the first point of contact for students and families
- Manage a steady flow of visitors while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere
- Coordinate meetings and assist with scheduling across multiple calendars
- Track data, prepare documentation, and support reporting needs
- Collaborate closely with academic advisors and internal team members
- Provide support for ongoing projects and general administrative tasks
What Success Looks Like
- Students and parents receive timely, accurate, and friendly assistance
- Office operations run smoothly with minimal disruption during peak periods
- Scheduling and reporting tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Team members feel supported and informed through clear communication and collaboration
Pay Rate: $28-30 per hour, based on experience
Time Commitment: Temporary, 35 hours per week, for approximately 3 months
Location: New York, NY – Fully on site
