🌍 Tax Accountant | International Clients | Onsite – NYC (Midtown East) | Non-Public
Our client is a boutique advisory and tax firm specializing in U.S. compliance and cross-border services for international businesses. With offices in New York, California, Florida, and Italy, they work closely with foreign-owned subsidiaries, start-ups, and multinational corporations across industries like shipping, real estate, electronics, and tech.
They’re looking for a Tax Accountant with at least 2–5 years of experience in public accounting, specifically someone with hands-on experience in preparing C-Corp tax returns (Form 1120) and ASC 740 tax provision work. This role offers more depth than volume—ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working directly with international clients.
📌 What You’ll Do
- Prepare corporate, partnership, and HNW individual income tax returns
- Support foreign filings (FBAR, 5471, 5472, 1116, etc.)
- Perform provision calculations, deferred tax testing, and disclosures
- Respond to IRS/state/local government notices
- Conduct tax research and prepare client memoranda
- Analyze financial statements and fixed asset schedules
🎯 Ideal Background
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of tax prep experience in a CPA firm
- Strong experience with C Corporation returns (Form 1120) and ASC 740 tax provision work
- Solid grasp of international reporting and U.S. corporate tax compliance
- Familiarity with ProSystem Fx, QuickBooks, and Excel
- CPA and/or MST a plus
