A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Development to join the team in San Francisco. 

Who You Are 

  • You have 10+ years of marketing experience and 5+ years in a corporate law firm or related industry 
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree, preferred 
  • Experience supporting practice areas such as Emerging Companies & Venture Capital and Technology Transactions 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with DealCloud or Foundation a plus 
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and detail orientation 
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and relationship-building capability 

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead growth strategy for Emerging Companies & Venture Capital and Technology Transactions 
  • Track venture financings and market activity; convert intelligence into targeted outreach 
  • Develop high-impact pitches and client-facing materials 
  • Drive cross-practice revenue opportunities and profile-raising initiatives 
  • Manage sponsorships, awards submissions, and strategic partnerships 
  • Oversee client programs, events, and thought leadership campaigns 
  • Collaborate with communications on media and digital visibility efforts 

What Success Looks Like 

  • Strong pipeline visibility across high-growth and technology-focused sectors is established 
  • Cross-practice revenue opportunities are expanded and new matters are generated 
  • Client proposals are delivered with clarity, precision, and strategic alignment 
  • Market presence is strengthened through events, recognitions, and partnerships 
  • Business development operations are executed efficiently and scaled effectively 

Salary Range: $180,000 - $235,000, based on experience 

Location: San Francisco, CA – Hybrid
