A New York City-based law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Manager to join the team!
Who You Are
- You have 15+ years of law firm billing experience, including complex client billing arrangements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Advanced expertise with Finance Core (formerly Coyote); Tabs experience preferred
- Strong understanding of legal billing compliance, revenue cycles, and matter economics
- Experienced leading billing teams and improving operational processes
- Highly analytical with strong Excel, reporting, and financial systems skills
- Effective communicator who can partner with attorneys, leadership, and finance teams
What You’ll Do
- Oversee firmwide billing operations, including invoice generation, adjustments, and compliance with client requirements
- Serve as the primary resource for Finance Core, Coyote, and Tabs administration, reporting, and optimization
- Partner with attorneys and firm leadership to resolve billing issues and improve billing performance
- Lead and develop billing staff while maintaining quality standards and deadlines
- Monitor financial metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements to enhance cash flow and efficiency
- Support month-end and year-end financial activities, audits, and reporting initiatives

- Billing processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with client and firm requirements
- Revenue cycle performance improves through effective billing management and reporting
- Attorneys and leadership receive responsive support and actionable financial insights
- Billing systems and workflows operate efficiently and reliably
Salary Range: $130,000 – 150,000 annually, based on experience
Location: New York, NY – Hybrid
