Our client, a non-profit organization, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their wonderful team. This position is hybrid with 3 out of 5 days on site at their beautiful Manhattan office!
Who You Are
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- You bring 2+ years of Human Resources experience in an office setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout Manhattan, Bronx, and Brooklyn using public transportation or personal vehicle
- SHRM certification or similar is a plus!
What You’ll Do
- Facilitate hiring, onboarding, and offboarding of candidates
- Update job descriptions and collaborate to identify hiring needs
- Post job listings through the ATS
- Conduct interviews for new candidates as well as stay interviews and check-ins with current employees
- Review and process payroll and prepare payroll summary reports
- Ensure payroll is completed in a timely manner
- Conduct policy and procedure trainings
- Record and file employee relations matters and fully execute corrective action
- Schedule investigation interviews for employee relations matters in collaboration with HR Director
- Maintain employee personnel files and process employment verification letters
- Complete monthly headcount and HR reporting

- Smooth and timely execution of hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Accurate and compliant payroll processing completed on schedule
- Strong collaboration with leadership and employees to maintain positive employee relations
- Organized and up-to-date personnel files and HR reporting
- Effective communication and adherence to all regulatory requirements
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 annually, based on experience
