A nationally recognized urban development consultancy is seeking a Director of Business Development to help expand its impact across real estate, infrastructure, and economic policy. Who You Are
- You have 10-15 years of experience in leading business development efforts within consulting or professional services environments
- Experienced in working with philanthropic, government, and private sector partners
- Skilled in selling consulting services to government clients, with a strong understanding of public sector dynamics
- Familiar with responding to RFPs and navigating complex pursuit processes
- Background in urban planning, real estate, or economic development consulting
- Skilled in using tools like Salesforce, Airtable, and Excel to drive insights and improve workflows
- Committed to inclusive collaboration and mentoring others to succeed

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate across departments to align proposal, marketing, and business development efforts
- Lead client and partner relationship strategies to expand reach and reputation
- Strengthen internal systems by developing playbooks, trainings, and tools that support opportunity pursuit
- Guide annual planning processes that connect day-to-day operations with long-term goals
- Monitor pipeline performance and refine KPIs to inform strategic decisions
- Support leaders in building targeted growth plans across services, geographies, and sectors
- Manage and mentor business development staff while fostering cross-team collaboration
- Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate best practices into firmwide operations

Salary Range: $170,000 – 190,000 annually, based on experience
