An industry leader in cutting-edge technology and infrastructure solutions is seeking a Design Project Manager to join the team in Denver, CO.
Who You Are
- A design project leader with 8+ years of experience in guiding multidisciplinary engineering and architectural initiatives
- Experienced at synchronizing internal teams and external consultants on large-scale, fast-paced projects
- Skilled at navigating the intersections of design, construction, and procurement in high-demand environments
- Adept at identifying potential risks early and implementing solutions to keep schedules on track
- Comfortable orchestrating complex workflows and facilitating collaboration across diverse technical disciplines
What You’ll Do
- Drive alignment among architecture, structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, and specialty engineering teams
- Manage design timelines, key milestones, and cross-discipline deliverables to match overall program schedules
- Act as the central liaison between engineering groups and program management for design execution
- Oversee creation, review, and coordination of drawings and technical documentation
- Lead design-focused workshops, coordination sessions, and review meetings
- Track and address design-related inquiries from construction teams, ensuring timely resolution
- Partner with procurement to integrate supplier constraints, lead times, and capabilities into design decisions
- Monitor potential design risks that could affect construction initiation, equipment procurement, or commissioning
What Success Looks Like
- Design efforts consistently meet program timelines and budget objectives
- Seamless collaboration between engineering disciplines, external consultants, and procurement
- Timely delivery of design packages that support construction readiness and commissioning milestones
- Effective identification and mitigation of design risks before they impact project execution
- Clear, accurate, and actionable updates provided to leadership on design progress and issues
Salary Range: $200,000 - 250,000 annually, based on experience
