Our client is a well-known higher education institution in NYC. They are seeking a Communications and Administrative Specialist to support their team! The position is fully on site in Midtown Manhattan. 

Job Details 

  • Create media lists to support outreach efforts  
  • Monitor media coverage and conduct media searches   
  • Assist in event organization and execution 
  • Draft and proofread different types of communications (newsletters, eblasts, legislator letters, lists, etc.)  
  • Create, prepare, and update data spreadsheets  
  • Provide administrative support 
  • Conduct research for various topics  
  • Perform other duties as assigned  

 

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in communications or related fields  
  • Excellent project management skills 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Strong time management and organizational skills  
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to proofread  

 

Pay Rate: $33 - $35 per hour based on experience
