They are seeking a self-motivated Head of Strategy to join their brand consulting arm to lead the team’s strategy practice with their roster of select partners to define their places in culture amidst a constantly changing, disruption-abundant landscape.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Using best practices and apply a growth mindset, lead a team of strategists, researchers, and planners in service of brand partners’ growth objectives
- Oversee the implementation and development of “now and next” strategic-based qualitative capabilities (ie. ethnographies, qualitative immersions, social listening, etc.) based on market standards and demand
- Lead the identification of “first-mover” opportunities for brand partners stemming from human truths, category dynamics, emerging behavioral trends across social platforms, and real-time creative culture
- Lead the company’s thought leadership practice through organizing internal education (bootcamps, industry and intelligence briefings, lunch and learns, etc.) and external showcasing (case studies, think pieces/whitepapers, panels, etc.)
- Ensure all teams apply a “consumer-first” approach that is consistent with the company’s mission of empowerment
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners across the bran’s sister company to transform insights into storytelling opportunities and meaningful marketplace execution
- Oversee the authorship and distribution of internal interdisciplinary project briefs with VP, Creative
- Co-lead the internal feedback loop as part of any project roadmap; use historical performance and results (and other relevant criteria) to validate and measure
- Build a reputation for influencing brand partners and internal senior leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years’ experience within a culture or entertainment marketing-led organization or related sector (brand, consultancy, agency preferred)
- Expertise in consumer technology, gaming, web3 categories preferred
- Experience in leading a high-performing strategy team and fostering deep cross-functional collaboration through defined ways of working
- Expertise in using consumer data and insights to form actionable strategies and plan
- Can share examples of thought leadership for brands (written presentations or reports are acceptable)
- Proficient in Google Suite, Slack, and other relevant collaboration and presentation tools
- Proficiency across modern social and consumer intelligence technology platforms
- Previous “agency-side exposure” (Either served in or worked with/hired)
