Description

Our client, a non-profit organization, is seeking a Job Development Assistant to join their wonderful team. This position is fully on site in East Harlem. 

Who You Are 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field required; Master’s preferred 
  • Must have demonstrated experience in youth development, education, or social services 
  • Knowledge of youth workforce programs; DYCD exposure a plus 
  • Strong relationship-builder with clear communication skills 
  • Organized and comfortable managing data and documentation systems 
  • Able to respond appropriately in challenging or crisis situations 
  • Committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces for youth 

What You’ll Do 

  • Build partnerships with businesses and community organizations to expand internship opportunities 
  • Match students with placements aligned to their interests and readiness 
  • Coordinate onboarding for internship sites 
  • Maintain regular communication with worksites to support positive outcomes 
  • Assist with job fairs and community outreach efforts 
  • Monitor participant progress and provide follow-up as needed 
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical records 
  • Prepare reports to track trends and program performance 
  • Represent the program within the community 

What Success Looks Like 

  • Internship partnerships are sustained and expanded across multiple industries 
  • Students are placed in roles aligned with their goals and developmental readiness 
  • Worksites are prepared and willing to host future cohorts 
  • Participant documentation is complete, organized, and audit-ready 
  • Program data is consistently captured and used to inform improvements 
  • A safe, structured, and professionally managed environment is maintained for youth and partners 

Salary Range:  $50,000 – 60,000 annually, based on experience 

Location: New York, NY – East Harlem – On site
