Description
Our client, a start-up in the nutrition and wellness space, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join the team on a temporary basis. The position is hybrid and based 4 out of 5 days per week at their office in Long Island City.
Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is a requirement of this position.
Job Details
- Manage HR operations for non-exempt employee population of 100+ in two locations nationwide
- Conduct onboardings and orientations
- Act as a resource for HR questions on policies, benefits, and more
- Manage leaves of absence, workers’ comp., and unemployment claims
- Facilitate biweekly payroll, including managing data in timesheet system and HRIS
- Manage employee relations, conduct investigations, and resolve issues as needed
- Research, design, and implement HR policies
- Ensure total compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and statutes
- Pay Rate: $50-60 per hour, based on experience
- Time Commitment: 35-40 hours per week, temporary, with potential to go perm!
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, required
- 3-5 years’ experience managing Human Resources operations for large employee populations
- Must be bilingual – English and Spanish fluency required
- Deep working knowledge of labor laws and regulations – New York and California, specifically
- Highest standard of confidentiality and discretion
