Intro
A leading professional services firm is seeking a Maintenance Assistant team member to support day-to-day facilities operations on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with office maintenance experience who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining a safe, well-functioning workplace.
Who You Are
- You have 3+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or office support environment
- You have a High School Diploma or GED
- You can work independently, follow written and verbal instructions, and manage multiple priorities
- You are comfortable using basic hand tools, working on ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- You communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and visitors
What You'll Do
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of office spaces
- Handle basic maintenance tasks, including light bulb replacement
- Respond to work orders and complete assigned tasks through mobile or computer-based systems
- Move office equipment, furniture, and materials as needed
- Follow safety standards and report facility issues to management
What Success Looks Like
- Maintenance and cleaning tasks are completed accurately and on schedule
- Office spaces are safe, clean, and well-maintained
- Work orders are addressed promptly and efficiently
- Facility standards and safety requirements are consistently met
Pay Rate Range: $29-$31/hour (based on experience)
Location: New York, NY (On-Site)
