As the Senior Specialist, Direct Negotiation – Local Television, you will be responsible for developing, negotiating, executing, and stewarding local linear television buys across multiple markets. You'll play a critical role in ensuring campaigns are delivered efficiently and effectively while maximizing value for clients through strong negotiations, diligent stewardship, and thoughtful analysis.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of hands-on local linear television buying experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong understanding of local markets, DMAs, and local broadcast marketplace dynamics
  • Experience developing media plans and negotiating directly with television stations and rep firms
  • Knowledge of stewardship, make-goods, estimates, reconciliation, and post-buy analysis
  • Experience using Mediaocean platforms, including Spectra and Prisma
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-management abilities
  • Experience with broader television, radio, digital video, analytics, or stakeholder-facing responsibilities is a plus

What You'll Do

  • Develop local television buys across assigned markets in support of campaign objectives
  • Negotiate rates, inventory, and added-value opportunities with stations and rep firms
  • Monitor campaign delivery and manage stewardship, make-goods, estimates, and reconciliation activities
  • Conduct post-buy analyses and communicate performance findings and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate campaign records, documentation, and reporting
  • Identify and escalate delivery issues, discrepancies, or optimization opportunities in a timely manner
  • Partner closely with media, analytics, finance, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Support continuous improvement of local buying strategies and operational processes

What Success Looks Like

  • Local television buys are accurately executed, competitively negotiated, and successfully delivered across assigned markets
  • Station and rep-firm negotiations secure strong rates, inventory, and value for clients
  • Delivery issues, underdelivery, and discrepancies are identified early and resolved effectively
  • Estimates, reconciliations, post-buys, and campaign records remain accurate and reliable
  • Performance insights are translated into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Internal teams and external partners view you as a dependable, knowledgeable resource for local television investment management
  • You independently manage day-to-day local television buying responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy and accountability

Salary Range:  $80,000 - 90,000 annually, based on experience

Location:  New York, NY -- Hybrid
