Our client, a financial advisory firm, is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join their Human Capital team. The Senior Payroll Specialist will be key in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while managing special payroll and benefits projects. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams to streamline processes and improve operations.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day payroll operations, including the processing and validation of weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls.
- Address payroll inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with HR, Accounting, Tax, and other internal teams to research and resolve payroll-related matters.
- Conduct investigations to identify and resolve root causes of payroll discrepancies that contribute to process improvements.
- Assist in quarterly reconciliations (941’s, SOD, and W2’s) and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Work with the Payroll Operations Manager to implement new procedures and system enhancements.
- Facilitate regular payroll audits and support external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Support the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment processes, including data reconciliation.
- Review and reconcile vendor invoices every month.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and assist with special payroll projects.
Qualifications:
- 8-12 years of experience processing and reviewing multi-state payrolls for 500+ employees.
- Familiarity with weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll cycles.
- Experience using HRIS/Payroll software, such as ADP Workforce Now or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local tax laws.
Preferred:
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Knowledge of benefits administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Certified Payroll Professional designation.

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000 annually, based on experience.
