Join a leading cultural institution as Senior Director of Facilities Operations, overseeing facilities, engineering, security, building operations, & capital improvements across a complex campus. This senior leadership role combines technical facilities expertise with operational strategy and people leadership.
Who You Are
- You have 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, engineering, building operations, or a related field
- You have led building maintenance, engineering systems, security, capital projects, & energy management
- You bring significant experience managing teams in a unionized environment and working with collective bargaining agreements
- You have managed substantial budgets, vendors, construction projects, & external partners
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field and experience within a museum, cultural, or similar complex institution are preferred
What You’ll Do
- Lead facilities, maintenance, engineering, security, & campus operations
- Oversee building systems, preventative maintenance, life safety, emergency preparedness, & regulatory compliance
- Direct capital improvements and coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, & consultants
- Manage unionized teams, vendors, budgets, energy initiatives, & operational planning
- Support major events and ensure facilities remain safe, reliable, accessible, & well maintained
What Success Looks Like
- Building operations and critical systems run safely, reliably, & efficiently
- Capital projects, budgets, vendors, & maintenance programs are managed effectively
- Facilities and security teams operate with accountability, collaboration, & strong service standards
Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 (annually based on experience)
