Our client, a prestigious non-profit, is seeking Senior Manager of Communications for a 6 to 7-month contract assignment. In this role, you'll serve as the linchpin of our Communications team, collaborating closely with every member while acting as the primary liaison for cross-departmental requests from our Development & Events team. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in managing various agency partners and vendors.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess a wealth of experience in client-facing positions, demonstrating a proactive attitude and a robust work ethic. You'll excel in communication and organization, effortlessly prioritizing tasks and problem-solving under tight deadlines. Being an avid consumer of various media formats, including print, web, and broadcast, is essential, as is a genuine passion for mission-driven causes. As a team player, you'll bring a positive attitude and the creativity necessary to drive our initiatives forward while adeptly managing ongoing projects and administrative duties simultaneously.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
- 4-10 years of relevant experience in media relations, either within an agency or in-house for a company or nonprofit organization, particularly those involved in large-scale events.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills; samples will be requested, along with completion of an editing test.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Proficiency in research and analytics.
- Meticulous attention to detail with proven project management skills.
- Familiarity with Cision and experience working within a CMS.
- Hands-on experience with social media platforms and associated tools.

Pay Rate: $35-50 per hour, based on experience.
