Description

A rapidly rising startup is redefining alternative finance by giving traders access to futures markets and training. Built on radical transparency, standout customer experience, and a bold, internet-native brand voice, the company has quickly become a top choice in the space. The formula? Radical transparency, an exceptional customer experience, and memes. Lots of memes.

This is an opportunity to define and build the visual identity of a fully gamified trading experience. As Lead Digital Artist, you’ll create a world of characters, avatars, environments, & collectibles that traders use to personalize their experience and engage with the platform. You’ll operate at the intersection of creativity and product, owning the visual language from concept through production, and collaborating closely with engineering to bring it to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Visual Direction: Define & evolve the artistic style & visual language for a gamified digital ecosystem.
  • Concept & Ideation: Translate ideas into mood boards, sketches, & style explorations to align stakeholders before production.
  • Asset Creation: Design & deliver high-quality, production-ready assets including characters, avatars, environments, UI cosmetics, & collectibles.
  • End-to-End Execution: Own the full creative pipeline from concept through final asset delivery, ensuring consistency & quality across all outputs.
  • Dev Collaboration: Partner closely with engineers to ensure assets are implemented accurately & perform seamlessly in-product.
  • Creative Prioritization: Evaluate concepts & guide the team toward the most impactful & scalable creative directions.
  • Set Quality Bar: Establish standards & frameworks for all future creative output as the gamified experience scales.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years digital art experience, ideally within gaming or gaming-adjacent environments
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating character design, environments, & world-building
  • Proven ability to take concepts through full production pipeline to polished, final assets
  • Experience collaborating with developers to bring assets into live products
  • Strong visual storytelling & ability to create immersive, cohesive worlds
  • Comfortable presenting ideas & iterating based on feedback
  • Strong understanding of gaming & online culture
  • Background designing skins, cosmetics, avatars, or collectible-based systems
  • Familiarity with animation (bonus, not required)

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

  • Salary Range: $150,000 - 175,000 annually, based on experience
  • 401(k) program
  • Competitive health insurance plans
  • Hybrid (1-2 days per week in-office)
