Description
Our client, a non-profit organization, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their wonderful team! This position is hybrid with 3 days at their beautiful Manhattan office!
Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate hiring, onboarding, and offboarding of candidates
- Update jobs descriptions and collaborate to identify hiring needs
- Post job listings through the ATS
- Conduct interviews for new candidates as well as stay interviews and check-ins with current employees
- Conduct policy and procedure trainings
- Review and process payroll
- Prepare payroll summary report
- Ensure payroll is completed in a timely manner
- Record and file employee relations matters and fully execute corrective action
- Schedule investigation interviews for employee relations matters in collaboration with HR Director
- Maintain employee personnel files
- Process employment verification letters
- Monthly headcount and HR reporting
- Ensure all regulations are being followed
- Manage DOH correspondence
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, or related field
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience in an office setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, One Drive, PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout Manhattan, Bronx, and Brooklyn using public transportation or personal vehicle
- Knowledge of DOHMH and school-age programming preferred
- Society for Human Resource Management certification is a plus
- 2+ years' experience working in a non-profit environment is preferred
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 based on experience
