Who You Are
- Experienced in providing high-level administrative support to CEOs and board members in fast-paced, mission-driven environments
- Deeply knowledgeable about board governance, nonprofit compliance, and organizational best practices
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, with a talent for managing complex schedules and preparing high-quality board materials
- Comfortable working with volunteer-led boards, demonstrating patience, diplomacy, and strong follow-through
- Trusted with confidential information and experienced in drafting formal documents such as meeting minutes, resolutions, and agendas
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and board, offering guidance on governance, compliance, and organizational strategy
- Take ownership of all board-related logistics, including scheduling, material preparation, and documentation
- Act as the primary liaison between executive leadership and the board, ensuring seamless communication and alignment
- Oversee governance frameworks, including bylaws, board elections, and committee operations
- Plan and execute high-profile events such as board dinners, ceremonies, and leadership meetings
- Lead onboarding and training for new board members and committee chairs
- Represent the organization at key events, maintaining relationships with influential stakeholders
What Success Looks Like
- The CEO and board are consistently well-prepared, aligned, and supported in all governance matters
- Board operations run smoothly, with clear communication, timely materials, and well-documented decisions
- Governance policies and procedures are up-to-date, compliant, and effectively implemented
- Events and meetings are executed flawlessly, enhancing the organization’s reputation and stakeholder engagement
- New board members are onboarded efficiently and feel confident in their roles
Pay Rate Range: $40-50 per hour, based on experience
