Our client, a New York City-based real estate investment firm with over $20 billion in gross assets under management, is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to work closely with the firm’s in-house legal team on all legal matters. Responsibilities will include general corporate housekeeping, fund administration, real estate investment-level matters, and administrative support.

Job Details:
- Formation and dissolution of entities; maintain internal entity tracker for all firm entities; responsibility for all ongoing entity maintenance obligations with various state departments and corporate entity service (such as entity-level fees, franchise taxes, and annual filings)
- Draft simple form operating agreements, assignment documents, corporate resolutions and subscription documents
- Prepare structure charts for entities
- Maintain internal share drives for all legal entities, deal closing binders, and various legal documents
- Manage distribution of investment documents to investors and maintenance of investor database information
- Prepare capital calls for investors
- Assist deal team along with internal legal team and outside counsel on all matters related to deal closings, including coordination of required signature pages, organizing and providing due diligence to lenders, and facilitating other deliverables
- Preparation and coordination of bank lending applications and similar documents
- Work closely with deal team on intake and coordination of internal review for various legal agreements, including service/trade contracts, confidentiality agreements, and brokerage agreements
- Assist investor relations team on investor questionnaires and RFPs
Operational Responsibilities
- Work closely with insurance brokers and various firm team members to bind and updated insurance policies
- Oversee firm document management
- Work closely with outside counsel to maintain a detailed tracking system for all firm litigation

Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of paralegal experience in real estate and corporate matters in a law firm or in-house environment
- Must demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of New York City real estate transactions, basic legal documents, and complex corporate structures
- Exceptional interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
- Process-oriented, with a strong attention to detail and organization
- Takes initiative and makes continuous process improvements
- Time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Commitment to professionalism and personal growth
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 based on experience.
