Norma Menkin founded Gainor with Gail Tessler in 1982. Dedicated to career development and best practices, she built the company around her desire to change people’s lives by offering career advancement while helping companies grow with the right talent. A former middle-school teacher in the South Bronx, Norma has made herself a student of the industry.
She has earned national respect as a coach and leader. For more than 20 years, Norma has served on the board of the New York Staffing Association; she is a Past President and continues to serve as Program Chair. A previous recipient of the New Yorker Award for dedication to the staffing industry, she participates in “Ask the Expert” panels for the American Staffing Association and maintains memberships with the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and New York City SHRM.
Norma celebrates each day and supports the future by paying it forward. She finds balance in mind-clearing walks, yoga, healthy cooking, and spending quality time with family and lifelong friends.
