Description
Join an established organization as In-House Corporate Counsel, focusing heavily on contract drafting, review, & negotiation. This role will advise leadership on commercial agreements while supporting intellectual property, licensing, media, marketing, & data privacy matters.
Who You Are
- You have 7+ years of legal experience in contracts, intellectual property, marketing, and/or data privacy & security
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree and J.D. from an accredited law school
- You are admitted and in good standing with at least one state bar; New York admission is preferred
- You bring strong contract drafting, negotiation, communication, & organizational skills
- HighQ experience is preferred; nonprofit experience is a plus
What You’ll Do
- Draft, review, & negotiate vendor, sponsorship, advertising, licensing, broadcasting, media, & other commercial agreements
- Interpret contract terms and advise executives, boards, & staff on legal and business implications
- Support intellectual property, branding, marketing, licensing, & media initiatives
- Advise on data privacy, security, & regulatory matters and manage outside IP counsel
- Partner with the General Counsel on legal, compliance, & insurance matters

- Contracts are reviewed and negotiated accurately, efficiently, & with business objectives in mind
- Leadership receives clear, practical guidance on contractual risk and obligations
- Legal interests are protected across commercial, intellectual property, & regulatory matters
Hourly Range: $60-$80, based on experience
Location: New York (hybrid)
