Director, Growth Media
An independent digital agency is at an important point in the growth of its media function. The organization combines hands-on channel expertise with strategic guidance, actionable analytics, and a meaningful investment in employee wellbeing and professional development.
As Director, Growth, you will lead multi-client paid-media strategy while remaining close enough to execution to coach and quality-check your team. You will help shape growth across paid media, measurement, and emerging discovery channels.
About the Role
- Lead multi-client paid-media strategy, client relationships, campaign quality, reporting, optimization, and workflow.
- Manage and develop 2 direct reports while quality-checking planning and tactical execution.
- Balance strategic leadership with hands-on work across paid search, paid social, programmatic, display, video, and retail media.
- Contribute to new business, RFPs, affiliate marketing, incrementality testing, forecasting, creative strategy, and emerging discovery initiatives.
About You
- 9+ years of paid-media experience and 4+ years leading multi-layered teams.
- Current, continuous agency experience with demonstrated multi-client portfolio leadership.
- Experience at independent agencies of approximately 200 employees or fewer; a mix of brand-side and agency experience is acceptable, provided recent agency experience is continuous.
- Hands-on platform fluency across paid search, paid social, and integrated digital media.
- DTC e-commerce retail experience, including driving sales through retail media and optimizing AOV, CLV, and ROAS.
- Past work on accounts with annual media budgets of $3M-$10M.
- Experience leading client relationships, strategic and tactical conversations, manager development, and new-business work.
Compensation: $135,500-$165,000 base, plus biannual bonus eligibility
Location: New York, NY
Work arrangement: Hybrid; 1 day per week onsite
