A leading law firm is looking for a Patent Litigation Legal Assistant to join their dynamic litigation practice that spans commercial disputes, regulatory matters, white-collar defense, and personal injury. The position is fully on site in Newark, New Jersey.
Who You Are
- You have 5+ years of patent litigation experience in a law firm setting
- Skilled in legal document preparation, court filings, and deadline management
- Proficient with litigation support tools including Litera, Best Authority, iManage, and Microsoft Office
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
What You’ll Do
- Support attorneys with patent litigation matters, filings, and document preparation
- Manage electronic filings across federal, state, and bankruptcy courts
- Edit, format, and proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance
- Coordinate trial preparation materials, exhibits, and case documentation
- Monitor dockets, track deadlines, and assist with litigation workflow management
- Provide administrative support including billing, scheduling, and attorney time entry

- Legal documents and filings are completed accurately and on time
- Attorneys receive reliable, detail-oriented litigation support
- Court deadlines and case materials are managed efficiently
- The legal team operates smoothly in a fast-paced environment
Salary Range: $80,000 – 110,000 annually, based on experience
Location: New York, NY – Hybrid (4 days on site, 1 WFH)
