A prestigious international law firm is seeking a skilled Appellate Specialist to join the team in Washington, D.C.
Who You Are
- You bring at least 10 years of experience in appellate work
- Hold a bachelor’s degree; JD is a strong plus
- Deep knowledge of SCOTUS and federal/state appellate procedures
- Exceptional Bluebook and cite checking expertise
- Skilled in legal writing and research
- Proficient with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, iManage, Lexis, Westlaw, PACER, and CM/ECF
What You’ll Do
- Draft, revise, and finalize appellate filings including briefs, motions, and petitions
- Prepare oral argument materials such as binders
- Compile appellate records and appendices from trial documents and transcripts
- Format documents, proofread, apply Bluebook standards, and prepare tables
- Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and court personnel
- Conduct legal research on appellate rules and procedures
- E-file with SCOTUS and federal/state appellate courts
- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules
- Track appellate law developments for litigation teams
- Submit timekeeping reports

- You serve as a trusted resource for attorneys and litigation teams on appellate matters
Salary Range: $115,000 – 140,000 annually, based on experience
Location: Washington, D.C. – Hybrid
