Description
Our client is a prestigious national law firm with headquarters in NYC. They are seeking a Collections Coordinator to join the team. The position is hybrid and based 3 out of 5 days at their office in Midtown, Manhattan.
Job Responsibilities
- Contact clients about outstanding payments
- Review accounts to create a strategy for client collection efforts
- Monitor and review reports to assess collections needs for partners and counsel
- Handle escalated collection issues and disputes
- Properly document payment agreements and communications
- Resolve client account receivable issues
- Maintain positive relationships with clients
- Analyze data to forecast trends
- Research payment history to create special payment agreements
- Meet with partners and other members of collections team to discuss special payment agreements
- Prepare collection activities reports
- Provide monthly status reports on collection activities
- Manage reminder notice process for all accounts
- Collaborate with third party collections agency to assist in collection efforts
Skills and Qualifications
- 5 + years of legal experience required
- Prior accounting/billing and collections experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (accounting or business)
- Knowledge of legal cash collections and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Elite, 3E Accounting or SAP is a plus
- Excellent written or verbal communication skills
- Customer service experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000 based on experience
- Bonus
- Paid overtime
