Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking a Legal Secretary to join their team. This role involves extensive document work, particularly related to real estate transactions. The position requires proficiency in redlining, managing document versions, and handling large, complex deals with multiple parties.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for all aspects of real estate transactions, including contracts of sale, leases, construction contracts, financing documents, LLC operating agreements, and the preparation and filing of NYS Attorney General amendments to offering plans
  • Perform heavy word processing and manage document revisions
  • Prepare cover letters and correspondence
  • Maintain real estate department forms, records, and case file organization
  • Input billing information into Tabs billing software
  • Schedule conferences and closings
  • Open new matters and manage document workflow using NetDocs document management software

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of real estate transaction experience in a legal setting (must have)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Outlook, Excel) and excellent typing skills
  • Experience with redlining, document version control, and managing large transaction documents
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of legal assistants and attorneys
  • Open to taking on new responsibilities and challenges

This role is 4 days in the office with 1 day remote.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000, based on experience. They also offer an excellent benefits package.
